Meet some friendly crabs that will be on Christmas lists this year!!

These cute crustaceans are bright and friendly and have a whole array of accessories; already on sale in the US of A with one being purchased every seven seconds!

Xia-Xia (pronounced Shah Shah) is made by the company Cepia; the geniuses behind Go Go Hamsters which were a HUGE hit back in 2009 when they were first released – however the fairly priced £9.99 crab is selling 20% faster than it’s furry predecessor.

The full range features four hermit crabs with such lovelies as Trinidad Crab, Turks Crab, Bimini Crab and Tobago Crab to name a few – all of them have interchangeable crab shells and you can buy extra ones to really mix things up.

Now these crabs are not being released in the UK till January; but the distributor – Character Options – has arranged a whole airfreight to fill shelves in time for Christmas this year.  But make sure you get your hands on them quick as only 150,000 will be going on sale.

Once you have the Crabs of course, you need their hang outs!  There’s currently three to pre-order – the Confetti Cottage, the Copacabana play set and the Rio de Trio Village play set.

Now what do these brightly coloured playthings do?  Well from their distant lands where every day is a celebration; Xia-Xia crabs like to party, play and dance.  To start the parade simply press Xia-Xia’s claw and watch them do their wacky walks.  As I said the range has four characters and each have their own little friend with them – so compose and college the full Xia-Xia crew!!

Trinidad – has a dazzling bright orange and yellow swirled shell.  Loves to dance.  Watch him skitter scatter in the fun parade when you press his claw!

Turks – sweet and bubbly, she has a red shell and girly pink bows making her a cute little companion.

Bimini – has a polka-dot and stripey shell and loves to strut her funky stuff in all the diferent shell fashions!

Tobago – has a rough-and-tumble blue exterior and a very happy grin.  Tobago is always dancing to the Xia-Xia Samba!

Buzz Lightyear the space ranger features in the Toy Story franchise and has featured in his own movie “Buzz Lightyear of Star Command: the Adventure Begins” and television spin off “Buzz Lightyear of Star Command”.

The Doctor Who series shows the adventures of a mysterious and eccentric humanoid alien known simply as “The Doctor” who travels through time and space in his TARDIS (his big blue box!)

I used to love Lego as a kid, and if truth be told I wish I could find an excuse to play with it now and just in time for Christmas 2010, parent’s get ready for your children to ask you for the Lego City Airport where they can have great construction fun where everyone is on the go!

Plush character toys The Piplings from the CBeebies Television show Waybuloo are expected to be the most sought after toys for under fives this Christmas.

Waybuloo is designed for pre-school children, is set in the make believe land of Nara. The main characters in the show are the four Piplings; Nok Tok, Lau Lau, De Li and Yojojo.
